The technology company automates the entire recruiting and billing process through its own AI-powered app. This algorithmic job matching keeps the administrative effort for employers to a minimum and lets workers fit shifts into their everyday lives flexibly and on their own terms. Today, the platform fills tens of thousands of shifts every month in sectors such as logistics, retail, hospitality and administration.

The challenge: benefit admin that grows with every staff change

Before connecting to NAVIT, Zenjob maintained its benefit users by hand. Every hire and every departure had to be updated in the system individually, in several steps and without a sync with the HR system. For a company whose business model is built on flexibility, that adds up.

At the same time, the benefit itself had to be broad enough to work for different life situations. Zenjob wanted to offer the Deutschlandticket, provide a flexible option for everyone and move closer to its own sustainability goals.

The solution: mobility card and public transport reimbursement, connected to HiBob

Zenjob addressed these points with two NAVIT products. With the NAVIT mobility card, employees receive a monthly credit they can spend freely within the defined mobility policy. Zenjob also reimburses public transport ticket costs through NAVIT. Employer contributions to the Deutschlandticket and other public transport tickets can be granted tax-free under §3 Nr. 15 EStG, provided they are paid on top of regular salary. NAVIT handles the corresponding payroll processing automatically.

Why Zenjob chose NAVIT

Joiners and leavers straight from HiBob: The HR system interface takes manual matching out of the process. Onboarding with one click, offboarding via the last working day.
An offer that works for everyone: The mobility card and public transport reimbursement cover different commutes and working models.
Deutschlandticket without a separate process: The employer contribution runs through the same payroll processing as the rest of the benefit.

The biggest difference in day-to-day work comes from the HiBob connection. New employees are created from within the HR system, and the People team confirms the assignment with one click. When someone leaves, entering their last working day in HiBob is enough, and the interface takes care of the rest. That removes the step that used to take the most time, namely manually matching employee master data against benefit administration.

The results: one hour a month, fewer errors

Ongoing administration of NAVIT now takes Zenjob around one hour a month. Compared with the previous solution, the People team estimates it saves one to two hours a month, depending on how many joiners and leavers there are.

Besides the time saved, Zenjob names a second effect that is harder to measure in hours. Fewer manual steps mean fewer errors in employee master data.
